PlayMatch is a sports technology platform that allows players to create profiles, upload videos, receive AI-powered insights, and be discovered by scouts, clubs, and agencies. We offer features aimed at amplifying grassroots football talent globally.

2. Eligibility and Age Restrictions

• You must be at least 13 years old or the minimum digital consent age in your country.
• If you're under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent to use the platform.
• You may not use the platform if you are barred under any applicable laws.

3. Account Registration and Security

• You agree to provide truthful, current, and complete information.
• You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and secure.
• PlayMatch reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for breach of terms or suspicious activity.

4. User-Generated Content (UGC)

By uploading videos, images, performance data, or other content:

• You grant PlayMatch a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, use, distribute, and display your content for the purpose of operating and improving the platform.
• You retain ownership of your content, but grant us rights to display and promote it within the service.

You must ensure your content:

• Does not infringe copyright or data privacy laws
• Is respectful, legal, and does not contain harmful or explicit material
• Does not impersonate others or provide false information

PlayMatch may moderate or remove content that violates these Terms or community standards.

5. Community Guidelines and Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Post or transmit content that is offensive, discriminatory, harmful, or deceptive
• Harass, stalk, threaten, or harm other users
• Upload viruses or interfere with the platform's integrity or security
• Use bots, scrapers, or automated systems without permission
• Engage in data scraping, phishing, or exploit the platform for non-football-related commercial purposes

Violation may result in content removal, suspension, or permanent ban.

6. Scouts, Recruiters, and Third Parties

Scouts and agencies using PlayMatch agree to:

• Use data only for genuine recruitment, evaluation, or talent acquisition
• Not share, sell, or distribute personal information outside the platform
• Maintain GDPR and UK Data Protection Act 2018 compliance when processing personal data

We reserve the right to vet and remove recruiters who misuse user data or violate platform trust.

7. Fees, Subscriptions, and Refunds

• Some features are free; others require a subscription or micro-transaction.
• By subscribing, you consent to automated billing and recurring payments unless cancelled.
• Refunds will only be offered in accordance with UK consumer law and at our discretion.

• You retain copyright on all content you upload.
• PlayMatch and its licensors own the platform's IP, logos, designs, and AI systems.
• You may not reverse engineer, clone, or redistribute our platform without permission.

11. Privacy and Data Protection

• We are a Data Controller under UK GDPR and process your data lawfully.
• By using the platform, you agree to our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

12. Disclaimers

• PlayMatch is offered "as-is" and we do not guarantee uptime, accuracy, or scout placement.

13. Limitation of Liability

• We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.
• Liability is capped to the amount you paid (if any) in the last 12 months.

14. Updates to These Terms

We may revise these Terms to reflect changes in law or our service. Changes take effect when posted. Continued use means acceptance of the updated terms.

15. Jurisdiction and Legal Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be settled exclusively in UK courts.
